Hope for Remaking the World

Guest preacher Oneya Okuwobi walks us through four shifts in our thinking that will help us restore our hope for a better world.

Oneya Okuwobi is a pastor, author, consultant, and sociologist whose research interrogates how diverse organizations impact racial inequality. She serves as teaching pastor at 21st Century Church, a church plant in Cincinnati, OH. She is also co-author of Multiethnic Conversations: An Eight-Week Journey toward Unity in Your Church, a personal devotional and small group study on multiethnic life and church designed for people in the pews.

In addition to pastoring and writing, Oneya leads the Love and Unity Project, a consulting and coaching organization focused on helping churches and Christian organizations combat personal and systemic bias. Onyea and the team at Love and Unity Project have been walking with Christ City for the past year, assisting our church in taking further steps towards embodying a healthy, welcoming, just, and equitable community that reflects the embrace of Christ.
