The Lord’s Prayer

Every week at Christ City, we pray the Lord's Prayer as a way to stand with the Church around the world and throughout history, praying the prayer that Jesus taught his followers. We use a version of the prayer that includes contemporary language as a way of reminding ourselves that God's Word is timeless and continues to speak even today.

Pray with us:

Our Father in heaven,

may your name be honored,

may your kingdom come, may your will be done,

on earth as in heaven.

Give us today the bread we need now;

and forgive us the things we owe,

as we too have forgiven what was owed to us.

Do not bring us into times of trial,

but rescue us from evil.

For the kingdom and the power and the glory are yours,

now and forever.
