Chellese Grove

Chellese Grove has been at Christ City Church since January of 2022 along with her husband, Alan. Over time, Chellese has shared her gifts singing in the worship band, serving on the hospitality team, and investing in her small group community while living in East of the River in Southeast DC. Born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in Jackson, Mississippi, Chellese has found purpose in being a bridge between regions and cultures in various relationships across her life. As a former pastor’s kid, Chellese was always familiar to community building and service. As an adult in her healing era, she is a forever fan of the One Tree Hill series; finds God’s presence in baking bread and spending time outdoors; and wants to tell friends they are “that girl.”
