For this reason, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous person is powerful in what it can achieve.

REFLECT 

Tonight, known as Maundy Thursday, Jesus washes his disciples' feet, shares a final meal, and goes to the garden to pray. He invites them to stay awake with him, to pray with him, to keep vigil. They can't. Exhaustion is real. But the invitation stands: confess, pray, be together, stay awake. Healing happens in community, in mutual vulnerability, in keeping watch in the dark together. Tonight we remember that we need each other.

RESPOND 

Confess something to someone you trust today. Pray together. Stay awake.

PRAY 

Jesus, you invited your friends to stay awake with you. Forgive us when exhaustion or fear makes us fall asleep. Wake us. Keep us praying together. Amen.
